ABSTRACT

Although innovations and applications in imaging technology have reduced radiation doses from imaging procedures, they are still far from eliminating them entirely. Protecting sensitive groups such as children and pregnant women from unnecessary radiation exposure should be viewed not only as a strategy to reduce technical issues but also as an ethical obligation and legal requirement.
