ABSTRACT

Inflammation of the spinal cord can occur secondary to demyelinating diseases, transverse myelitis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, and infectious diseases. Inflammation of nerve roots and meninges can be associated with immune-mediated inflammation. Myelitis and radiculitis may present together. In this section we aimed to explain imaging findings that aid diagnosis.
