ABSTRACT
Primary extradural tumors are a heterogeneous group of diseases that affect all age groups, with different radiological findings and treatment approaches. Metastases in the extradural region are more common than primary tumors. Vertebral hemangioma is usually diagnosed incidentally in an asymptomatic patient group and is the most common primary extradural tumor. Although the majority of primary tumors are benign, the mass effect and spinal cord invasion of malignant and locally aggressive tumors can cause serious morbidity and mortality in patients. Plain radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission tomography are used in the differential diagnosis of extradural tumors. The treatment method to be applied in these tumors varies depending on the type and location of the tumor.
